Estate 5ct+ Ceylon Sapphire & Diamond Ring 18k Yellow Gold

Wow! This large (5ct+) Ceylon Sapphire is a gem: large presence, beautiful blue hue, wonderful cutting- all of which make this one of the finest Ceylon Sapphires we have offered for sale. This ring was sourced from the estate of a local collector, who sourced the natural gem from a reputable dealer then had the gem mounted sometime in the last 20 years. The setting is certainly a fitting home for this glorious Sapphire. The 18k gold ring is set with four large princess cut Diamonds, over 1ct total, with a solid shank and fine filigree details in the gallery. It can be difficult to decide which color to set blue Sapphires in- white or yellow- but this medium-dark Ceylon Blue Sapphire certainly takes on some additional glamour in the rich gold surroundings of the yellow gold mount. We have tried to show the ring in various lighting conditions to show that the Sapphire is stunning no matter when and where you see it. This one makes a large presence on the hand, measuring almost 1/2 inch at its widest point, which is an exceptionally rare size for natural Sapphire, and wonderful to wear.
