Few mid-century cocktail rings are as fabulous as this one! Large gemstone right-hand rings were all the rage in the 1960s, but most often set with more common varieties like Citrine, Smokey Quartz, Topaz, etc. To find an example set with a fuchsia pink Tourmaline over 5ct in size is a rarity- this gem looks even bigger due to the excellent cut and no windowing, which makes the gem richer in tone and stunning to behold. The unusual gem appears a lighter rosy pink in sunlight, and a deeper fuchsia color in incandescent. The sides of this ring are embellished with swoops of white gold and Diamonds which play a supporting role to the center gem. The upper portion of the ring is set onto a thinner white gold shank which makes the gem seem even bigger, yet elegant on the hand. This is certainly a stunner.
