This fantastic rose gold engagement ring was the product of a custom CAD design process, wherein we were tasked with incorporating the client’s birthstone in a pleasing and intentional way. Their chosen Diamond, just shy of 1ct and a transitional round brilliant, had a warm hue to it that looked great in rose gold. When the client brought up a desire to use Aquamarines it made the most sense to set them close to the Diamond, where their cool blue hue would make the Diamond appear whiter and brighter. The client chose a pair of top quality Aquas with deep color that really stand out in the design. The three stone centerpiece is set in a trellis framework then the lower part of the shank is accented with filigree and Diamond accents. This ring is a true hybrid, combining the modern look of rose gold and colored gemstones, with the classic styling of the 3-stone design and filigree work. It’s not always easy to use a birthstone in an engagement ring, but this one certainly worked out well and resulted in a beautiful design.
