Since the trade embargo with Burma a decade ago the supply of fine Ruby has dwindled, and what is on the market is typically heavily treated or poor quality. Thus we were totally thrilled to find this little beauty from a new mine in Kenya. The color is an open and pure red with almost no pink secondary tone, and the stone is gemmy and clean to the naked eye. The customer who mounted this Ruby up-cycled a solitaire mounting they already owned, but opted for a textured bezel to give the ring a more modern look. This ring is amazing- and we hope to find more Rubies from this new source!
