This fantastic brooch – pendant combo was made for one of our collector clients who wanted to use some of her gemstones in one dressier piece. This item was inspired by late Edwardian and early Deco pieces where symmetry and open spaces were used to accentuate the gems. The center stone is a nearly 16ct oval Ethiopian crystal Opal of a neutral white base, with fabulous red, green, orange and blue play of color that comes alive at different angles. It is accented with two round mint green Tsavorites and three round silvery white Sapphires. On the bottom is a custom fabricated orchid to pay homage to the collector’s other favorite possessions: her rare orchid collection. The whole piece is crafted in polished yellow gold and can be worn in a variety of arrangements and styles. This is a wow piece!
