This fabulous pendant started it’s life as an Edwardian bar brooch which we then converted into this more wearable necklace. The pendant is crafted in solid platinum, circa 1920, encrusted with Old Mine Cut Diamonds, Rose Cut Diamonds, Saltwater Pearls and a gem-quality Australian White Opal sits in the center. While the platinum filigree concept is typically associated with the Art Deco era, we are able to date this a bit earlier due to the acanthus leaf motifs, rose cut Diamonds and pearl accents, which were hallmarks of the late Edwardian (or Art Nouveau) period. This pendant can be worn either north-south or east-west, depending on the occasion, and measures over 2 inches in length!
