We think that the rare Garnet colors are one of the best kept secrets of the gem world: totally natural, totally beautiful, and available at affordable price points. This particular Rhodolite garnet is a bit unusual in that the primary color is purple with red overtones, blending into a rich magenta tone. Gems such as this are found primarily in the Umba River region of Tanzania, then cut in the US. This cushion shaped gem has brilliant faceting on the reverse which make it super sparkly and flashy on the hand. We set this gem in a white gold mounting with modern angular lines to mimic the faceting of the Rhodolite.
