Gemstone Engagement Rings

A True “Gem”

FWC Jewelers is a destination store for alternative engagement rings featuring natural colored gemstones, like Sapphire Engagement Rings. We have a wide variety of gemstone engagement rings in stock, but we also have a large inventory of fine and exotic unmounted gemstones for clients to choose from. Selecting a colored gemstone for an engagement ring should be a fun and creative process, and we look forward to being part of this important moment and introduce you to our broad selection.

Custom Design Process

Throughout the custom design process, we work together to create a ring that completely aligns with your vision or find a pre-made mounting that highlights the gem’s brilliance. We take the time to understand the wearer’s lifestyle, allowing us to select gem types and mounting styles that are long-lasting. From the timeless charm of Sapphires and Rubies to the incredible hues of Spinel, Emerald, Morganite, and more, our selection contains a wide range of durable gemstones that will fulfill your hunt for the perfect piece.

Gemstone Types

Tourmaline

Largely overlooked by the public, Tourmaline stands as a gemologist's treasure trove for its remarkable diversity and vibrant hues. From fiery reds to deep blues, lush greens to inky blacks, and everything in between, it dazzles with its kaleidoscopic spectrum of colors.

Sapphires

Sapphires are our top-selling colored gemstones for two main reasons: first, their amazing variety includes every color of the rainbow; and second, they are just as durable as Diamonds, so they can easily sustain everyday wear.

Opals

Opals have fascinated gem enthusiasts for centuries. They adorned ancient Mayan and Middle Eastern jewelry, dating back thousands of years, and became highly prized gems in central Europe during the Middle Ages.

Garnets

The Garnet family is often overlooked in the gem world. Historically, red garnets were popular as the January birthstone, but other varieties were overlooked. However, Garnets are ideal gemstones for jewelry due to their versatility and beauty.

Emerald, Aquamarine, Morganite

Emerald, Aquamarine, and Morganite are the best-known Beryls, but the group includes rarer varieties as well. Beryl are prized for their wide range of colors, brilliance, and hardness rating of 7.5-8, making them excellent choices for jewelry.

Alexandrite & Chrysoberyl

The Chrysoberyl gemstone family is often overlooked in the jewelry market, despite its beauty and significance. While some may be familiar with renowned members like Alexandrite and cat's eye, this group contains many more magnificent gems.
