Art Deco Solitaire Ring with Large Old European Cut Diamond

This beautiful antique Diamond solitaire engagement ring is a rare find. Most rings made circa 1930s featured small Diamonds, if any- that’s what people could afford. This ring is set with a large natural Diamond- almost 2cts!- which would have been a true showstopper at the time. While the Diamond does have a natural inclusion under the table, this inclusion is mostly hidden by the amazing cutting, and allows us to offer the ring at am amazing price. The old European cut Diamond is set into a solitaire ring setting which is classic of the period. It features a yellow gold shank, complete with engraved shoulders, and a white gold top. The Diamond is set into the white gold, which makes it appear larger and whiter. The Diamond is set securely using “fish tail prongs” which give the ring a slightly square look on the finger. This ring has been totally restored to like-new condition and is ready for another century of use. The ring is currently size 8 but is easily sizable to any size.
