Artsy Mid Century Gold & Diamond Engagement Ring

This elegant gold & diamond ring is a relic of the hand-crafted designs of the late 1960s. Jewelers working at this time were rejecting the traditionalism and understated designs that had dominated the jewelry world post second world war and replacing them with designs that were more unique and artistic. This trend made its way into bridal jewelry, like this engagement ring. The ring is hand-crafted in a flowing piece of yellow gold, with a single white Diamond off-set in the center. The gold has an almost sculptural quality to it, with lots of beautiful high-polished surfaces to reflect light. The Diamond in the ring is of fine quality, with lots of sparkle, yet it is set securely in a 6-prong setting. Now-a-days this would once again make a wonderful vintage Diamond engagement ring but could also be worn on the right-hand.
