Vintage Top Gem Black Opal & Diamond Cocktail Ring

This Black Opal ring is quite the find. Made in Japan in the 1960s, this is the true definition of a cocktail ring. The white gold setting features an elevated crown of gemstones with the Opal in the middle and individually set Diamonds encircling it. The Opal is really the star of the show- the Black Opal is Australian and of top quality, with a mesmerizing array of colors displayed across its surface. The base hue of this opal is a dark grey (classifying it as a Black Opal) which helps the colors pop. In this Opal it almost has two layers of color: a base layer of blue and green, with a red and orange shimmer on top. It is simply stunning. The Opal almost sparkles, which makes the Diamond accents especially appropriate. This ring is in vintage very good condition; it will receive a fresh coating of rhodium before it ships for a more even white surface color. This can easily be sized to any finger size, or even converted to a pendant by request.
