Swirly Gold Engagement Ring with 1.5ct Antique Diamond

This is a fabulous vintage engagement ring set with a knock-out Diamond of fine quality. The 18k yellow gold ring features a swirling design, with each side of the ring embracing one half of the Diamond, which gives the ring an eye-shape. Both arms of the ring are flush-set with round Diamond accents to cover the upper half of the ring with sparkle. The star of the show is the central natural Diamond, weighing over 1 1/2ct, with exceptional color, clarity, and cutting. This Diamond is large but looks even bigger due to its beautiful cut, which is what we refer to as a “transitional brilliant.” This transitional cut Diamond was faceted sometime in the mid 20th century, as a successor to the Euro Cuts and precursor to the modern round brilliant we know today. It is a beautiful Diamond that would make an incredible engagement ring or anniversary gift.
