Product Description
This adorable engagement ring is a perfect example of late Deco 1930’s design. We bought this mounting new-old-stock from a jeweler going out of business- it was unworn and 90 years old! We chose to set it as it would have been in 1935- with single cut Diamond accents and a natural Sapphire center (either a Sapphire or Diamond would have been the center stone). It is signed with the brand “Flower of Love” which was one of the competitors to the more-famous “Orange Blossom” brand at the time. The ring is cast in yellow gold with white gold applied to the top where the gems are set. The gem Sapphire deserves special attention here- this particular stone is from Sri Lanka, untreated, and of top blue color. The contrast between the blue Sapphire and the carved yellow gold ring mounting is fabulous and makes for an elegant presentation on the hand- perfect as an engagement ring or right hand option. This ring is perfect for antique lovers or collectors of untreated natural gemstones.
Details: 14k yellow and white gold ring with .56ct round Blue Sapphire (Ceylon, untreated) and .02ct single cut Diamond accents (SI IJ), mount circa 1935, Sapphire newly supplied by us.
