.80ct Round Diamond in Vintage White Gold Engagement Ring

This fabulous mid-century Diamond engagement ring is classic elegance in ring form. The center Diamond is beautifully cut and sits as if suspended in the Tiffany-style head. On either side are tapered shoulders, but instead of the baguettes you would expect to see, there are three round single cut Diamonds per side which gives this ring added sparkle. The shoulders of the ring are the perfect width relative to the center Diamond and taper beautifully into the knife-edged ring shank. This is an 18k white gold mounting with a beautiful patina which we have left intact, though the next owner can choose to rhodium plate it if they prefer a brighter finish. The star of the show here is certainly the .80ct transitional round brilliant cut Diamond, circa 1950, which appears larger than the weight would suggest. It is as clean as a whistle with just a hint of yellow undertone which is well masked by the cutting and looks age appropriate in the mounting. This is a classic vintage ring style and she will be sure to say yes.
