Antique Amethyst Solitaire Engagement Ring

The ring came to us missing the center stone, so we chose Amethyst as a period-correct choice for the new center stone. The Amethyst takes front and center stage- a deep true purple hue with flashes of red and blue in different lighting; this is one top-quality example of Amethyst. It is set with yellow gold prongs, but the ring itself is finely worked platinum, complete with engraved accents.
