This fabulous festoon necklace is the perfect way to dress up an outfit: imagine your next V-neck blouse or dress with a plunging neckline dressed up by this finely made gold necklace! These necklaces came of age in the early 20th century when it became more fashionable, and socially acceptable, to show some skin around the neck. Necklaces would then be made to highlight the gowns of the era- this one is made to look like lace, and would have been worn with the Edwardian formal gowns of the time. This festoon-style necklace is set throughout with seed Pearls in a lacy and floral design, with a single Sapphire and Diamond for sparkle, and dangling Pearls for movement. This is a highly intricate piece which photos simply cannot show to full effect. It measures 17 inches long but could easily be modified to any length.
