Antique Old European Cut Diamond 3-Stone Ring, c.1915

Classic jewelry designs enter the repertoire for a reason- they simply work. This wonderful antique Diamond 3-stone ring is a perfect example. The concept of 3-stone rings, representing past, present, and future, has been popularized in recent years, but some of the best examples are Victorian and Edwardian like this one. In this ring, the attention to detail is superb: the craftsman made the ring from yellow gold, then built prongs in neutral (and more durable) platinum. The prongs are made in such a way that the main Diamond is centered, with the accents flanking it with their 5th prongs aiming down the shank- an added feature which gives the ring a classy finish.
