Antique Rose Gold & Rose Cut Diamond Engagement Ring

This original antique Diamond engagement ring is a real treasure- a relic nearly 200 years old! The ring was crafted in northern Europe circa 1830 in rich 14k rose gold (not as pink as modern rose gold, but definitely rosy due to copper in the alloy). It is set with an oval rose cut Diamond almost 1ct in size- it sparkles like mad in low light settings. Additional Diamonds trail down the sides of the ring. All of these antique Diamonds are rose cuts, which are flat on the back and domed on top, then set against a foil backing. In Georgian times, this was high-tech jewelry. You’ll note that the ring has developed a beautiful patina as it has aged- this black appearance can be removed at buyer’s request but is proof of its age, and is rare to see intact.
