This adorable antique engagement ring was made around the turn of the century, circa 1900. While dainty, the fabulous quality gems pack a punch and the design is very pleasing, resulting in one of our favorite Sapphire rings that we have sold through the years. The center stone is a 1/3rd carat old mine cut Diamond with lots of sparkle. One either side are a 1/4ct round natural blue Sapphire, likely from Ceylon, with perfect color. They are set right next to each other and wrapped in a fine oval milgrain of gold which make them appear larger on the hand. This sits atop a gently tapered rosy-yellow gold shank. Just when you think it can’t get any cuter, you see the ring from the side and view the gallery which is complete with hand engraving work which adds a graceful flair to what could be a heavy side profile. This vintage Sapphire engagement ring is truly the product of a master goldsmith and we were proud to have offered it for sale.
