Product Description
This fantastic antique chronograph wrist watch was cutting edge technology in 1950! The chronograph function refers to the fact that, in addition to telling the time, the watch has a built in stop-watch too. The top button starts and stops the timer, the bottom button resets it, and the two subdials count down the time on the timer. These chronograph wrist watches were marketed heavily to military men during and after WWII, especially pilots who enjoyed having a backup instrument to measure their fuel capacity. This particular watch was made by Spera, and falls into the “misc-Swiss” category, since Spera is one of several little-known brands who made high quality time pieces at that time. This one has a fabulous stainless steel case in very good condition, a new crystal, and an original black dial with white & gold lettering which has the perfect patina intact. The case measures a substantial 36mm across and has a manual-wind mechanical movement. RESERVED FOR MARTIN $1200 all inclusive, no warranty/returns, DHL insured ship.
