Art Deco Diamond 2-stone Ring in Yellow Gold Filigree

This stunning Art Deco engagement ring is unusual for two reasons. First, the ring is a yellow gold Art Deco ring, while most were white gold or platinum. Maybe this was ordered by someone with a taste for yellow gold? Or maybe the jeweler wanted to make something special? We will never know. The other unusual feature is that, instead of having one central Diamond, this ring has two center stones! In France, these rings are referred to a “toi et moi” meaning “you and me” for their romantic symbolism. In this case, each antique Diamond is substantial, weighing over 1/4ct each, and set into white gold illusion heads that make them appear even bigger in the yellow gold framework. The sides of the ring are complete with classic Art Deco die-struck filigree, and the ring sits low on the hand for comfort and durability. A great vintage engagement or right hand ring.
