Product Description
This adorable Art Deco ring is a great example of the symmetry and geometry that was common in 1920s design. The ring is crafted with two identical hexagons, each crafted in Platinum and accented with wire filigree work, and set in the center with an Old Mine Cut Diamond. They are set atop a wide tapered white gold shank that draws the eye upward to the Diamond focal points- we think this shank is a later replacement but period correct. The Ring has two planes of symmetry, north/south and east/west, but each hexagonal component has three planes of symmetry, making for an interesting design. The Diamonds are not huge but their bezel settings and fantastic cutting give them big impact. From the side, one can see that the ring was designed with practicality in mind as it sits low to the finger, has nothing that can snag, and thus is a great everyday ring- perfect for another 100 years of memories. The ring measures 3/4 inch north to south on the finger.
Details: Platinum ring with 10k white gold shank set with .40ctw round old Mine Cut Diamonds (SI2-I1, HI) and accented with wire filigree work, circa 1925.
