Product Description
This fabulous Carnelian pendant is a relic of the 1930s. Think of an elegant lady in flapper attire, adorned with this interesting pendant against a shockingly plunged neckline. The late Deco period was known for using more understated and affordable materials but in innovative ways that expanded budgets and made interesting jewelry. This Carnelian, technically an orange variety of Agate, has been rose cut, where it is flat on back and faceted on top to catch the light. The facets provide a very Deco geometric vibe. The material is semi translucent, set in an ornate gold bezel (patina intact- let us know if you want it polished) for an understated yet dramatic look. This would look great with other Earth tones, or contrasted against black. Simply fab.
Details: Art Deco pendant in 14k yellow gold set with rose cut Carnelian cabochon, circa 1930s.
