Art Deco Low Profile Diamond & Sapphire Engagement Ring

While many Art Deco rings were grandly designed and highly impractical, we also see examples like this that were clearly designed to be worn. This antique ring, circa 1925, is crafted in platinum in a low profile design that is extremely comfortable for everyday wear. The center Diamond is a quarter carat Old Euro Cut, and it has Diamond and Sapphire accents. The Sapphires are Calibre cut and serve to emphasize the geometric design. The platinum is pierced and carved to further add geometry and interest to the ring design. While this ring is not huge, it makes up for the lack of size with added detail, and it looks fantastic on the hand. It is easily sizable and could be used as an engagement or right hand ring.

Details: Art Deco 900 platinum ring set with .25ct old European Cut Diamond (VS2 I) and .12ctw Diamond and .06ctw Sapphire* accents, circa 1925. While the Diamonds in this ring are natural, the Sapphires are synthetic, which are original and period-correct, and show some abrasions.
