Art Deco Platinum Pendant with Blue Sapphire & Diamonds

This fabulous Art Deco pendant was converted into its current form from a less-wearable brooch. The minute we saw the intricate platinum filigree and the fine Sapphire, we knew that this piece deserved to be worn more often than the brooch was, hence the pendant was born. The piece is high Art Deco, which is shown in the overall navette shape and the geometric wire work in the filigree. The center Sapphire is a focal point, both due to the striking royal blue color and the contrast between the deep blue and the negative space around it. The Diamonds accenting the piece are of top quality and add sparkle without overwhelming the design. The pendant measures 1.5 inches long, thus can be worn high on the neck or low over a sweater.
