It is simply miraculous that these designs, and the techniques to recreate them, have survived for 100 years. Second, the center bicolor Watermelon Tourmaline weighs over 7cts and is totally clean to the eye- we never see Tourmalines of this size with this clarity. Tourmaline is a type 3 gemstone that is expected to contain inclusions or flaws, especially in larger sizes, so to find one of this quality is a collector’s dream. This gem displays characteristic color- a forest green tapering to a rosy pink, with close to 50/50 color distribution.
