Product Description
If you are looking for a quintessential Art Deco Diamond engagement ring, this one has to be a contender. Crafted in gleaming platinum circa 1925, this ring features a large Old Mine Cut Diamond center with a halo of Emeralds – what is known as a “target ring.” The central Diamond is bezel set for a low-profile and comfortable setting, and the Emeralds surround it set in a channel. The tapered platinum shank is set with further antique Diamonds and engraving on the sides, giving the ring a beautiful look. While the target ring design is classic of the Art Deco era, these rings are still quite rare since they were costly to purchase at the time. This one is given added rarity due to the Emerald accents- most of them were set with Sapphires. As this ring is a period original, the Emeralds used are calibre-cut synthetics, which were considered the preferred gems to use for their perfect match and even color. This ring was made as an engagement ring but has a chunky presence that could easily sit on the right – hand too.
