This petite pendant is quintessential Art Deco: the jewelers of the 1920’s were obsessed with symmetry and geometry, and this classic Deco pendant offers both. The trapezoid shape is crafted in 18k white gold but the design is reinforced by the custom-cut synthetic blue Sapphires that draw the eye with their contrasting color. Synthetic gems were the emperor’s new cloths and were very popular and they also allowed jewelers to get perfectly matched gems for their designs. These are original to the piece. Set in the center is an old European cut Diamond of high quality to provide sparkle and a touch of drama to the piece. While it only measures 3/4 inch top to bottom it makes up for its diminutive size with maximum style.
