In the last few years demand has increased for Opal engagement rings; we think this is because each one is unique, beautiful, and nontraditional. We made this ring to fit that mold- the Opal is a white-base gem from Coober Pedy in Australia and it exhibits a floral and pinfire pattern of green and red over a subtle blue background. The mounting is white gold, yet the Opal is set in a subtle rose gold head to give the ring a bit of warmth and interest. This is a classic, understated ring which still manages to have a good presence on the hand.

All Opals require special care. To mitigate risk, we designed this to sit low to the hand, and the Opal is a “tablet” that does not protrude from the ring. We encourage our clients to contact us for more Opal care information and to inquire about 3rd party insurance options.
