At first glance this Sapphire appears to be a brilliant blue color; but upon further inspection one observes that opposing corners of the gem are blue, while the other opposing corners are colorless. The amazing cut makes the gem come to life (see second photo in outdoor light) but no matter the condition this gem glows. It was set into an heirloom mounting that our client already owned which features marquise Diamonds flanking the center stone, and vintage-style carving on the white gold shank. Beautiful!
