John Dyer -a world renowned lapidary- knows that Rhodolite garnets have a tendency to be too dark, so he faceted this stone to optimize light play while bringing out the subtle orange and pink undertones in the Garnet. This vintage style semi mount was the ideal setting for this custom cut gem, and the detailed carving on the gold mimics the detailed faceting on the gem. The mounting is then set with a pair of princess cut Diamonds, set on point, which add flair to an otherwise classic 3-stone design.
