Colombian Emerald Pachamama Brooch- Incan Fertility Symbol

This adorable brooch is for the person proud of their South American heritage. Crafted in Peru circa 1970, this brooch was designed to pay homage to the Incan fertility symbol known as a Pachamama (is it a frog? a monkey? we will let the buyer decide). It is crafted in ornate 18k yellow gold, complete with wonderful filigree work, and bezel-set with a natural Colombian Emerald in the center. These Emeralds are an ancient gem, worn and revered by the Incans for thousands of years. Thus this brooch is doubled up with Incan symbolism and lore. This could easily be worn by a man or woman, or converted to a pendant on request.
