Product Description
Garnet is a rather incestuous gem family, where different subgroups mix and mingle to create new varieties. In the late 1990’s miners in East Africa discovered Malaya Garnets which occur in brown, orange, pink, rose and other unusual shades. The above Garnet shifts from a rich brown in outdoor lighting to a pinkish red under incandescent light. This gem was chosen by a client who already owned the mounting, but wanted to replace the center stone with something a bit more interesting and that would meld with the classic yellow gold ring.
Details: 14k yellow gold cathedral ring with 2.89ct Malaya Garnet and .60cttw diamond accents (I1 JK).
