Emeralds are one of our most difficult gems to keep in stock. The best examples come from Colombia, where a lack of available rough coupled with political instability make it difficult to keep a steady supply. Thus most of our Emeralds are old-stock items we buy from collectors, like this one that we took in trade from a client who had purchased it at an exclusive Seattle store. Although it is a more bluish green than intense Emerald green the stone still possesses that elusive glow that we look for. This client chose one of our embellished cocktail ring mountings to make a large statement and accent the glowing green gem.
