Custom Blue Sapphire Ring with Channel Set Diamond Accents

This original design ring is set with a stunning oval cut blue Sapphire which takes on a subtle violet undertone in some lighting. While not a color change gem, this color shift is a unique phenomenon we see in some natural and untreated Sapphires from Sri Lanka. We set this in a custom mounting which is hand carved over every surface, and the Sapphire is set with 8 claw prongs; both are features that lend the ring a vintage feel. It is further embellished with high quality channel set princess cut Diamonds and rounds in the gallery which give it interest from every angle. It should be noted that we had this Sapphire custom cut, so it has no windowing and excellent brilliance on the hand. This ring was designed as a right hand ring but would be a perfect Sapphire engagement ring, too!
