There is nothing more upsetting than accidentally damaging a treasured ring. In this case our client came in after chipping the center Diamond in a custom ring we had made for her about 10 years ago. She was lucky that the chip did not intrude deeply into the gem, so when we had the Diamond re-cut they were able to maintain most of its weight. Our Diamond cutter was also able to improve the cutting to the most current standards; so much so that it went from a 1.24ct Very Good cut with F color to a 1.10ct Excellent Cut with E color! This Diamond is so fine that we sent it back to the GIA to have it re-graded and laser inscribed with the new report number. We then set the Diamond back into the original mounting and it is shining brilliantly once again.
