Custom Men’s Emerald Ring

We made this Emerald man’s ring for a client who had inherited a pair of Emerald earrings from his favorite grandmother. He came to us looking for inspiration- both in how he could use these Emeralds, and how they could be protected to last further generations. While Emeralds are not soft gems, they do have inclusions that can make them brittle, especially worn in a mans ring. Thus our designer created a mounting that protects the gems from abuse yet still allows their green glow to take center stage. It is difficult to make a ring with two gemstones that looks intentionally designed so we then used pairs of princess cut Diamonds to bring a center point to the design and add sparkle. All of the stones are channel set, which holds them tightly and allows the white gold to protect the gems from wear. The final product is an Emerald and Diamond channel band that is clearly custom made, but classic in style that pays homage to grandma’s great taste and fabulous gems. This was made as a right hand ring but could easily be a men’s emerald wedding band, too.
