Product Description
The electric Blue Zircon in the center of this original Art Deco pendant is ahead of its time. Not commonly used in jewelry until the 1940s, this Zircon pendant hails from the height of the Art Deco era, circa 1925. It was crafted in solid white gold, then pierced and hand-detailed with intricate filigree work which is more open that most, allowing the clothing/skin to show through. The Zircon itself is bezel set and flanked by two high quality Diamonds which add sparkle to the piece. The Zircon is certainly toward the darker blue end of their color spectrum and flashes turquoise and azure from every angle- a ‘double blue’ phenomenon coveted by Zircon collectors. This is a beautiful everyday pendant large enough to be worn on a long chain over a sweater; but it’s also great for the collector of Art Deco or as a December birthstone gift.
Details: 14k white gold Art Deco pendant with approximately 2.00ct round Blue Zircon (Cambodia, Heat Only) and .10ct Diamond accents, circa 1925.
