This fun engagement ring was inspired by the 1920s but brought into the 21st century with some specific design choices. The delicate, symmetrical mounting with milgrain and filigree is reminiscent of die-struck mountings from the Art Deco era, but this cast mounting is a bit heavier duty, and set with higher quality diamonds. The fun star shaped upper plate surrounds the center Sapphire with Diamonds without looking like a traditional halo. The Sapphire- denim blue with hints of teal- is a modern twist on a traditional choice, and this natural gem from Madagascar is a very popular color today. In fact, we have a difficult time keeping medium blue, teal, and blueish green Sapphires in stock, as they have become the “new neutrals” of the Sapphire world, and are durable enough for everyday wear. This ring was designed as an engagement ring, but with the wider presence on the hand it could equally be a fun right hand ring, too.
