This original Edwardian engagement ring came to us without the center stone, so we supplied the beautiful Montana Sapphire you see here. The ring was made right at the turn of the century, when the best way to get a white metal look was to layer platinum over the top of yellow gold. Set into this platinum framework are two Diamond accents on the shoulders, gracing the Sapphire center. The natural and untreated Montana Sapphire is certainly the star of the show here, presented in split claw prongs. It is a beautiful color, subtly shifting in different light conditions between a mossy teal hue and a minty green- classic colors from the Missouri River area. This antique ring is in excellent condition and would make a fabulous Montana Sapphire engagement ring.
