This stunning Sapphire engagement ring hails from the transitional period at the end of the Edwardian era, circa 1920. One can observe this transition in the detail of the mounting- the ring has the soft curved lines and nature-themed carving of the Edwardian era coupled with the platinum and filigree work that became eponymous with the Art Deco era. The center gem is a beautiful velvety blue Sapphire from Sri Lanka, though it has an inner glow similar to the famed Kashmir Sapphires.
