A beautiful emerald cut Diamond is one of our favorite fancy shapes. The long thin facets have a way of capturing the light and throwing it back out in a tantalizing way. The only catch? Emerald cuts have to be very clean Diamonds, since there is no way to hide imperfections in them. In this ring we took a just-under 3/4ct VS quality Diamond and set it in a halo of round Diamonds to give it a bit more sparkle and presence on the hand. This modern mounting is great since the flat sides of the band, and the height of the halo, make it easy to fit a wedding ring or stacking band alongside the engagement ring.
