This vintage Tanzanite ring is a great example of our restoration work. When the ring was brought to us the emerald cut Tanzanite was chipped, scuffed, and without any of its original luster, while the diamond accents were loose in their mountings. We had our lapidary re-facet the center stone, then our goldsmith rebuilt the prongs and reset the stone as well as fixing the accent diamonds. This complex job had to be done with a laser, since Tanzanite is sensitive to heat from a torch. The end result justified the means since it resulted in this amazing estate ring!
