This piece is crafted in classic Mid-Century style, where each gem is flush set into the mounting for a smooth and comfortable feel. The center gem is the star of the show here, pun intended! It is a natural blueish violet Star Sapphire from Sri Lanka, with strong asterism in the center. This occurs when light is reflected off of striations within the gem, producing the 6-ray star seen here. This particular star has great intensity, is centered within the gem, and moves as the ring is worn. So cool!
