Estate Natural Alexandrite Pendant in Platinum

This gem is perfect for this setting, since it has a large presence and easily visible color change, from teal to purple depending on the lighting. Under most conditions the gem has a greenish blue hue with great lustre, which does a great job of hiding the few hard-to-see inclusions in the gem. It is set into a vintage inspired diamond-shaped platinum frame complete with milgrain detail work and three Diamond accents above the gem. This piece has a mysterious background, since it appears in as-new condition, with Japanese hallmarks and weights stamped on the setting, thus it is an estate bargain for the next owner.
