Estate Opal Cocktail Ring with Large Grey Base Australian Opal

When we say photos can’t do a ring justice we mean it- and this fabulous Opal ring is no exception. The gold ring is designed as a solitaire, but the single stone is a massive Australian Opal with a pinfire color pattern- it looks like glitter trapped within the Opal. This is a grey-base Opal, similar to a Black Opal but a shade lighter, which gives the color play a bit more contrast. It has wonderful red and green color- what many consider to a be a “fire opal.” The split shank gold setting features engraved details on top and bottom, which give the setting a bit more interest. We love that, despite its size, the Opal sits low on the hand and is protected during wear. This ring is easily sizable, and would love great on a pointer or middle finger – it measures an inch long.
