We are huge fans of Ethiopian Opals- just look around our website! These earrings are made with colorless crystal opals that have amazing play of color- red, green, gold, blue, orange- all in the same gem. Even rarer is to find a matched pair of these stones as the rough does not lend itself to calibrated cutting, and the colors are different in every gem. Yet somehow we did it and these earrings were created. Just to give you some idea of scale, the opals alone were nearly an inch long, not including the diamond halo!
