This one-of-a-kind pendant features a reversible Australian Black Opal of top quality. Sometimes referred to in the trade as double cabochons or “nobbies,” this Opal is the same solid piece of Opal through and through, and shows play of color on both sides! On one side the pendant is alive with a broad flash of red against a vivid blue and green floral background; on the other, blue, green and gold pinfire and floral color play captivate the attention of the viewer. Since this Opal has such movement, the Pendant was designed to spin- it is wrapped in a gold bezel with a peg above the Opal which allows it to move freely from a stationary bail. The 18k two tone bail is an understated accent to the exceptional gem. It measures just over 1 inch in length. It gives the wearer lots of versatility and looks simply amazing on the neck!

We have shown this Opal to several dealers, who were wowed by its color and reversibility. Opals like this simply aren’t found at Lightning Ridge any more, and this is the only known source.
