Fabulous Pear Shape Diamond Engagement Ring

We are starting to see renewed interest in yellow gold engagement rings and fancy shaped Diamonds, such as this pear shape; designs that were popular in the 1980’s. In this case, the client wanted a ring that was yellow gold, but she also wanted durability and neutrality in her lifetime ring. To give her the best of both worlds, we created a ring with Platinum heads that hold the Diamonds, and a yellow gold shank. The Platinum heads are very durable and make the Diamonds look bright and white, yet the client still gets the classic richness from the yellow gold shank. The Diamond was an FWCJ bargain- while graded I1, it is clean to the naked eye, and has a fantastic cut that makes it appear 25% larger than its weight would suggest, making it a true bargain!

Details: 14k yellow gold and Platinum ring with 1.67ct pear shape Diamond (I1 clarity, I color, Good Cut) and .28ctw baguette Diamond accents (VVS GH).
