This unique ring shows the power of a custom design. The pear shaped pink sapphire simply didn’t look interesting in a classic mounting. Furthermore, the customer wanted a ring that would be as wearable as possible. In answer to these two problems, we developed this asymmetric mounting that sets the stone low in a channel. A sweeping spray of diamonds comes up from the shank and embellishes the channel where the sapphire is mounted. The end result is a unique piece of jewelry, with lots of presence on the hand, yet durable enough for everyday wear.
